Philosophy

  1. Your personal philosophy is your greatest determining factor.
     
  2. A warrior's ultimate act is to lay down his sword.
     
  3. All that arises passes away. The Real is the eternal and the infinite.
     
  4. In the Now, in the absense of time, all suffering disolves. There is no salvation in the future condition or in any possesion.

  15. At the end of the day I ask myself who I have been today not only what I've done. We are human beings not human doings.

  32. Choose to think in ways that will support you in your happiness and success instead of ways that do not. One thing you can always control is what things mean to you. Decide in advance to not turn mole hills into mountains, to use stumbling blocks as stepping stones, and to see the rain from the plants' perspective.
     
  33. Failure is natural, and is an event not a person. Every master was once a disaster, and there wasn't a winner that wasn't once a beginner. Risk looking like a fool.
     
  34. My inner world creates my outer world. Corollary: If you want to change the fruits you have to focus on changing the roots!
     
  35. Action is the bridge between the inner world and the outer world.
     
  36. If you are willing to do only what's easy, life will be hard. But if you are willing to do what's hard, life will be easy.
     
  37. Bad habits are easy to form, but hard to live with. Good habits are hard to form, but easy to live with.

  147. If there's one thing to be a fanatic about it's your health! The bible puts it this way: "Treat your body like a temple." A temple, that's a good word. A temple, not a woodshed, a temple! Why? Because the body and mind work together, and the body is the physical support system so that the mind can dream the dreams and the heart can believe that it's possible and then go to work and make it happen.
